Statement

Clay is my preferred medium, allowing me to transcend into this whole other world, with endless possibilities of expressing my thoughts, beliefs & ideas.

The flexibility and limitations of clay continually inspire and challenge me. I use wheel thrown, altered and hand built techniques to create my work. It is fascinating to start with a lump of clay and be able to mould it into an art form. Each piece born of the basic natural elements (earth, water and fire) is a unique creation, kind of like people, with their own individual personality and character.

An extensive traveler, I draw inspiration from different cultures. My style reflects a unique fusion of my ethnic heritage, world travels and contemporary art.

Continually seeking to innovate, each piece has a story to tell.
